Charleston beach wedding locations are generally
free with the exception of gated resort communities.
Things to consider about Charleston beach
weddings include the heat, tides, bugs (mosquitoes, biting
gnats, fire ants), wind and rain, and sufficient parking.
Charleston beach paths can be lengthy with deep sand, so unless
you're fairly determined to marrying on the beach, you may
prefer a more controlled environment.
Our Location:
Tidewater Chapel in
Mount Pleasant offers a pretty brick patio overlooking a small
lake. Many brides and grooms choose our location for very small
weddings (10 guests on weekdays, 20 on weekends or
evenings).
There is no location fee associated with this
Charleston wedding location. Conveniently located directly
across the Cooper River Bridge from Charleston, South Carolina,
the Tidewater Center is just minutes from Downtown Charleston,
making it easy to find for guests.
Our terrace is covered, so in the event of rain,
we can still perform the ceremony in comfort.
Take I-26 east to exit 220, come over the Cooper
River bridge, bear right at the bottom of the bridge onto
Coleman Boulevard, go through the first traffic light, and
we’re the next building on the left, at 222 West Coleman
Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.
From Georgetown or Myrtle Beach, take Highway 17
South through Mount Pleasant, turn left on Houston Northcutt
Boulevard, right on Coleman Boulevard at the next light, and go
three driveways past Northcutt Shopping Center until you reach
Tidewater Executive Center.
Other Free Locations
Your marriage can be performed just about
anywhere -- a private home, perhaps an apartment clubhouse, a
friend's dock -- you're limited only by your imagination!
Some of our more unusual locations have been on horseback, a
locomotive, an aircraft carrier, a bar for a Halloween contest,
sailboats, docks, and carriages. We're always willing to do
something different or unusual. Skydiving? No problem -- you
jump, we don't!
